Product Review: Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Penetrating Oil

I love this hair oil! I use the extra penetrating oil because I have very thick, kinky hair and as an African American woman, my hair needs a little extra TLC to keep it growing healthy. However, Organix provides the same product for labeled for all hair types as well as fine and brittle hair.
The oil is very light weight and has a great scent. It does not leave hair too shiny or slick. This oil keeps my hair soft and manageable which is not an easy thing to accomplish. The label also boasts protection from heat styling and UV damage which are other, often under-looked, key elements to maintaining healthy hair. This is a hair oil not a scalp oil so you do not want to use it directly on your scalp because overall it can cause buildup and reduce hair growth. The only concern you should have when using oils is that they work as a sealant. Meaning they can either retain moisture in the hair or create a seal that keeps moisture out. So if you are going to use oils as part of your daily hair care routine. Make sure that when you wash/co wash you use a moisturizing conditioner to get your hair moisturized. Then regularly use the oil to keep the sealed moisture in. If you also use a daily moisturizing cream, then put that in first and use the oil second. You only have to use a relatively small amount at a time so although the bottle is small, it lasts for a good amount of time.

This product (along with the entire Moroccan Argan Oil line) has great availability. Drug stores, grocery stores, beauty supply stores, superstores and online—you can find this product just about anywhere. The price ranges from $6-$10 depending on your area and where you shop. It tends to be more expensive in beauty stores and online. One thing I’ve noticed is that Organix products go on sale often. So when you catch a sale it’s great to stock up because this product is most certainly something you won’t want to go without once you try it!
